Our vision is best expressed in Psalms 92:13-14, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord; shall flourish in the courts of our God. In old age, they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap”. Our mission is to plan and carry out meaningful activities that have spiritual maturity such as, attendance at Bible Class, Sunday school, and Morning Prayer meetings. We also keep members informed of rights and benefits offered to seniors through seminars and the AARP bulletin on such topics as voting, will and trust, the new Medicare, safe driving and financial planning. Among our more specific goals are the following to enhance the lives of our elderly members through socialization and physical well-being activities: senior brunch, line dancing, table games, aerobics, luncheons, theatre trips, events sponsored by the Chicago Department on Aging, health fairs supported by local hospital, and aquatic exercise at the Chicago Park District.
