The Senior Usher Board’s purpose is to seat and welcome the congregation to the house of the Lord and look after their comfort and needs during the service. Ushers assist in collection, dispense hymnals, church bulletins, envelopes, and perform other duties assigned to them by the Pastor and his official staff. Ushers help the Pastor make the service a success by putting the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message; greeting the people with a pleasant smile and warm welcome does this. Ushers are trained under the universal church usher’s manual.

USHER BOARDS D.I. ISOM YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT
D. I. Isom Youth and Young Adult Usher Board provides sound instruction and discipline under the Unit Usher League, and senior instructors on how to “Usher” people into the house of worship, and when necessary, attend to their needs while therein. Ages 14-35.

JUNIOR USHER BOARD
Purpose is to train children from the ages of 5 to 13 on the rules and regulations of Ushering. They are to be enrolled as members of a Sunday school class to learn Scripture, and proper behavior in church, school and home. They are taught to pay a portion of their allowances to the church. They are also trained on how to become good and effective ushers.Serve every 4th Sunday, meetings vary, Usher Room
